Molbak’s Stunning and Festive Under the Sea Theme Room

After a lunchtime wine-tasting last week, Jen and I went to Molbak’s Garden + Home to shop. (Shopping after indulging in wine can get expensive, let me warn you!)

We were delighted to see their Under-The-Sea theme room under construction, with busy designers scurrying about, up on ladders, and carefully arranging displays.

What a lovely way to incorporate an ocean theme into your Christmas decorations, if you so choose. Since Woodinville is so close to Seattle and Puget Sound, it makes sense thematically!

My favorite color is teal (turquoise, aqua, etcetera!) so I lingered longingly at this table of beautiful and distinctive vases and glass objects. We also admired the carved whales.

Even if you don’t have a sea-life themed Christmas decor scheme, this room provides a lot of beautiful silver and white Santa statues, plus some beautiful tablewares.

The vibrant pops of green and teal colors are a nice refreshing change from traditional Christmas green-and-red decorations.

I’ll definitely be back for one of these lovely shell trees – I’m worried they’ll have already sold out though, as they are so unique and not likely to be found elsewhere in Seattle shops.

These beautiful displays of shells, seahorses, coral and starfish make me want to buy a copy of Coastal Living Magazine and indulge in an afternoon of lazy reading, lounging and tea drinking. (Or, better yet, wine drinking).

Walking through the Under the Sea Christmas room was like being in an ocean-themed dream. We lingered, exclaiming over all the beautiful items for sale.

I can’t even imagine how long this stunning, huge display took to design, dream up, and implement! Three cheers for all the hard work and the artistic vision that went into this!

These glittery, colorful picks really help a Christmas tree pop with color. I really had to control myself while checking out the festive teal and blue ornaments to the left, too.

What would you plant in this gigantic planter? Let us know what tempts you the most from these photos in the comments section below!
