Autumn in All its Glory at Molbak’s

Right before Halloween, we stopped off at Molbak’s here in Woodinville to enjoy their autumn offerings. I was nervous to come here as they have such fabulous, distinctive items and I’m a bit of a shopaholic!

We browsed their stunning displays of garden bed flowers, dreaming of the flowerbeds we could create in our yards if only we had more time!

I have a real soft spot for purple and almost loaded up a whole cart with these mums!

I don’t like to eat peppers, but would love some ornamental ones in my kitchen for a pop of color.

Check out their enormous giant white pumpkins!

My favorite pumpkins are the “Cinderella” style and I love adding a green one or two to my decor to offset all the orange.

We chuckled at their “warty pumpkins” which some people refer to as “knobby.”

It’s fun to browse around and then see something fun and whimsical like these face planters, tucked in here and there.

No wonder Molbaks wins awards for their beautiful visual displays!

Another row of purple mums tempted me again.

More beautiful white pumpkins awaiting to adorn someone’s doorstep or porch!

I can’t think of a better way to spend a sunny autumn afternoon than browsing Molbak’s nursery!

I’d love to do a gothic flower bed with some of these darker mums and cabbages, perhaps in the bed by my front door where I’ll string some Halloween lights soon.

We admired how they worked edible cabbages and kale into some of their planters.

Corn stands majestically guarding some beautiful deep red pansies and yellow mums.

Molbaks changes their plantings and displays frequently, so it’s worth stopping by monthly or even more frequently to see what’s new!

Here’s a tempting array of unusual colored plants and flowers to really add depth and visual intrigue to your garden.

These more vibrant colors could bring summer into my home through the rainy autumn and chilly winter days – if only I were more talented at keeping houseplants alive!

Inside, we found a bounty of autumn harvest decor, cinnamon spiced pinecones, fragrant candles, sparkly ribbons and elegant artificial garlands.

I get so many home decorating ideas from Molbak’s!

Time to start thinking about Thanksgiving decorations, too!

I took another long look at their chili peppers, thinking how much cheer and color they’d bring to my kitchen on dark winter days.

I’m never buying supermarket pumpkins for carving ever again! The selection here is much better.

I’ve never gotten around to decorating with ornamental cabbage, but I’m inspired to now!

As we left Molbak’s, we took a last lingering, admiring glance at their gorgeous fairytale pumpkins. Happy autumn!
