A Throwback to Our Favorite Spring Events in Woodinville

It is almost Spring (although after all of the recent snow, you wouldn’t guess it!) and Carrie and I were talking excitedly over lunch last week about our list of favorite things to do in Woodinville this season. I decided to take a trip down memory lane and look at what we did this time last year!

One of my favorite spring events was Carrie’s vertical Rosé tasting party.  I loved how everything was decorated in shades of pink and set outdoors in her relaxing backyard tent.  What a bonus that there was an incredible lineup of Woodinville wine!

It was such a pleasure meeting and chatting with the amazing women winemakers at the Sisters of the Vinifera Revolution event. We hope to see news soon for the second annual event this year! We tasted many amazing wines, like these from Damsel Cellars.  Here you see Damsel owner/winemaker Mari Womack.

Backyard Rosé meetings like this one with Trust Cellars have been greatly missed!  My love for Woodinville Rosé has caught on like wildfire, and I have my fiancé James on board now too. It is almost time for new releases and we are ready to stock up our wine cellars.

We tasted amazing wine and ate delicious food truck bites at the DeLille Cellars Spring Barrel event last year.  They even had a photographer on hand to take pictures of guests.

It is always a treat to sample delicious DeLille Cellars vintages straight from the barrel like we did at this lovely event. This Spring Barrel party was what convinced me to join their wine club. I am looking forward to it again in 2019!

Spring would not be compete without many bottles of Tsillan Cellars Rosé and a girls weekend trip to the Tsillan Cellars Estate Vineyard in Lake Chelan, WA.  What a stunning place it is! I am feverishly planning another trip there sometime in late Spring.

Another favorite Woodinville wine tasting memory is from our trip to Matthews Winery and Alexandria Nicole Cellars with Carrie’s sister Mariel (check out her incredible make-up artistry here). Friday evenings on the patio at Matthews and cozy wine club room tastings at ANC are high on our list of favorite things to do that involve Woodinville wine.

Of course, I have to mention that we are barely containing our joy over the fact that outdoor patios will be opening very soon! We love this one at Lachini Vineyards!

This Pinot Noir Rosé from Lachini left a lasting impression on us! I think it’s safe to say that we will be drinking some of this year’s release on the tasting room patio.

Spring is the perfect time to visit the incredible Molbak’s and stock up on brightly colored flowers for your garden. Something to keep in mind when you visit is their rewards points system that lets you earn points toward future purchases. Every year I go a bit crazy at Molbak’s because they offer such beautiful things, so I like this idea!

Here is a photograph from a party that Carrie hosted last Spring. This Rosé from Lauren Ashton Cellars was a favorite of mine last year. It was juicy and refreshing with strawberry and citrus notes.  We loved it and I am looking ahead to the next release.

Carrie and I scooped up several bottles of Lauren Ashton Cellars Rosé at their Release the Rosé event last April. This year’s event is being held on April 13th and 14th at the Lauren Ashton Cellars tasting room.  Kurt Lindsay will be performing live on Saturday and a portion of the proceeds from the weekend will go to Bellevue LifeSpring. These are some of our favorite ways to enjoy Woodinvile wine in the Spring, but we would love to hear from you about yours! Drop us a comment below so we can compare notes.  If you see Carrie and me out and about at any of the Woodinville tasting rooms, we would love to say “hi”!
