Our Warr-King Wines Rosé Spring Release Wine Tasting

Owner/Winemaker Lisa Warr-King Packer and Guests

Lily Frances Rose Wines, Warr-King Wines

Every year in April and May, Carrie and I start our favorite yearly process of gathering all of the newly released Rosé wines from as many Woodinville wineries as we can manage to get to.  We research release dates and plan out our trips to gather armloads of Rosé, before transforming Carrie’s beautiful backyard into a pink-themed Rosé wine party. Of course, I should add that we welcome any direct messages, emails, or phone calls from wineries and winemakers, letting us know when you have your Rosé wines available! We do our best to cover everyone in the Woodinville wine industry, but I’m sure that we miss a few of you here or there. Definitely let us know if you are a tasting room manager or winemaker and you’d like us to stop by!

We were thrilled when Lisa Warr-King Packer sent us a message that she and her lovely tasting room staff would love to host us for a wine tasting during Warr-King Wine’s Rosé release weekend! We understand how busy the weekend times are, and we so appreciated this gracious invite.

Lisa’s Marie Noelle Syrah Rosé is always a favorite of mine so I knew that I would enjoy trying the 2020 vintage. It’s filled with strawberry, citrus notes and has the most refreshing finish.  I always need more!

Carrie looks lovely here with her wine tasting flight that included 2017 and 2018 pours of the Tenacity. This Cabernet Franc dominant red blend is such a lovely blend and a favorite of mine to sip with my neighbors. I also love a portion of the proceeds of this red wine benefit women in STEM Paths Innovations Network.

Our afternoon at Warr_king was filled with delicious surprise treats, starting with the Charcuterie vending machine (watch our excited video here!).  I think this machine should be included in my home lol, and included these gorgeous and tasty macarons from Black Magic Sweets that Lisa generously gifted us. I will publish an additional post on these macarons from Aliyah Davis soon because my family LOVED them!

Thank you goes out to these two stunning guests of the winery who willingly posed for this photo along with Lisa. It was fun chatting briefly with these ladies as we all sat back and relaxed in the patio area of the tasting room in Woodinville’s warehouse district. I love the classy yet low-key atmosphere at Warr-King and the fact that Lisa is so hands-on and approachable.  It makes for a unique experience along with award-winning wines!

The tasting room is closed this weekend for the members-only Spring Release, but you can plan your visit for next weekend well in advance.  Reservations on the weekend are always something that we recommend, especially in these beautiful Pacific Northwest spring and summer months! Visit the website here to find out more and make your wine tasting reservation.

I will be heading back soon to stock up on more Rose because admittedly, one of my bottles was already consumed and did not make it to our planned Rose party.  Opps! I couldn’t help myself, it was just too delicious to not enjoy during a recent warm afternoon on my patio! I have a feeling that these 2020 Rose wines are going to sell out fast, so I plan to order more before they do. Browse the wine shop on the Warr-King Wines website if you’d like to do the same!

Cheers! ~ Jen
