Meeting The Herbfarm’s Pigs and Exploring the Herb Garden

Last week, Jen, Serret and I were waiting eagerly for Barking Frog to open for lunch.

With about half an hour to kill, we strolled around The Herbfarm’s gardens and Willows Lodge’s patios and beautiful property.

The Herbfarm is such a charming and quaint building! I love it.

We were impressed by this massive tree root – or is it a strange wood bush?

Soon we discovered the Herbfarm’s darling pigs, Basil and Borage.

I dearly wanted to pet one but didn’t dare reach over without permission!

I wonder if I will ever consume a truffle that one of these pigs has discovered!

Busy snoozing, the pigs didn’t pay us much attention, nor did they respond to our friendly overtures (mostly consisting of kissy noises).

We were very impressed by the well-kept, orderly herb gardens. Careful not to touch anything, we peered into each planter.

Beautiful sights awaited us!

Check out these darling decorative pigs, tucked away as a nice surprise in one of the garden beds.

I’d never put a lot of thought into what horehound candy was made from! Also notice the cute bunny statue nearby.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the Herbfarm/Willows Lodge gardens, and recommend you stop by next time you’re wine tasting in the area!
