A Cozy Sunday Afternoon Wine Tasting at Smasne Cellars

An abundance of Woodinville wine is available at Smasne Cellars!

Smasne Cellars has been on my radar for a long time and I recently made a trip there on a Sunday afternoon.  My fiance James, my daughter Natalie, Carrie and I had a memorable tasting! Look at the wine offerings on this tasting room board, I think it might be one of the largest I have seen in Woodinville.

Our first tasting of the afternoon was a delicious Albariño – reserve – barrel-aged to pull out residual sugars. Next, we tried the 2016 Marsanne. You can see the gorgeous golden color in the glass above. I loved it! The 2013 Petit Syrah from Red Heaven Vineyard had the most amazing deep, red color.
There are so many varietals to choose from at Smasne Cellars! James was exceptionally helpful and took his time to explain to us many of the stories behind these incredible Woodinville wines. The lineup was impressive, and we ended up purchasing several bottles to take home.  The 2013 Cabernet Franc was delicious! The 2013 Block #4 Syrah will only continue to get better with time.
Don’t you love these wine glasses? Everything about this Woodinville wine tasting experience was cozy and welcoming. Smasne’s Woodinville warehouse district tasting room offers five of Robert Smasne wine labels, including Smasne Cellars, Robert O Smasne Reserve, 1/2 ASS, Farm Boy, and Farm Girl.
** Update** The Smasne’s purchased the Yakima River WInery in March of 2019 and recently earned a best of show, double gold award for its 2018 Semillon at the Tri-Cities Wine Festival. I am looking forward to trying Yakima River Winery’s 2016 Last Cast Red!
This little puppy, “Ace” was visiting with his owner and was absolutely precious! He and his owner were chatting with winery manager, Jeff about Smasne’s wine club offerings.  Member can select from either a 3 bottle or a 6 bottle shipment membership.  To learn more, click here.
Plan your next Woodinville wine adventure and include a stop at Smasne Cellars. Based on our experience here, we think that you will be impressed with the service and the wines.  The tasting room is located in the Warehouse District, at 19495 144th Ave. NW, Suite B240, Woodinville, WA  98702.   Hours of operations are as follows, Friday 2-7 pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-6 pm.  For larger groups, we suggest calling ahead to make sure that the tasting room staff will be able to accommodate you.
Cheers! Jen
