Intrigued by Tandem Dinner and Wine Bar

On a recent warm evening, my friend Wendy and I were returning from a nice night of listening to music at Woodhouse Wine Estates. It was miraculously warm enough to have our car windows down and sunroof open. We passed by the most magical looking restaurant, decorated with just the right amount of festive clear lighting. I’ve never been to dinner at Tandem Dinner & Wine Bar before and I keep meaning to.

The restaurant/wine bar shares a parking lot with Basel Cellars and Cascade Cliffs wine tasting rooms. I remember tasting wine at Basel Cellars, but wish I’d popped next door to peruse the Tandem menu and check out the bar while I was there. You can stop by their new website to get a peek at their menu.

I see some vegetarian options (three salads I could eat, a tempting sounding Brie appetizer, a vegetarian friendly pasta and some sides – risotto, wild mushrooms). My boyfriend would like the steaks and chops, seafood and pasta options. I’m starting to think this would be a nice special occasion or date place, and I’m trying to manufacture a reason to go next weekend!

It looks like a romantic place to have dinner, at least on the outside! Can anyone share any experiences they’ve had at this restaurant, in the comments section below?

I snuck over and quickly took a photo of their beautiful patio. There was a fire pit blazing merrily away, and I saw a waiter adjusting an outdoor patio heater. This space looks gorgeous! Since it says Wine Bar in the name, perhaps I can pop in some time and check out the menu while enjoying a glass of wine!

Also, I wanted to mention that a local couple who sadly lost their Kirkland home to a recent fire, went to dinner at Tandem Wine Bar at the invitation of the owners. The couple were glad to get out of their temporary living situation for an evening, and said the owner, Lisa, spent quite a lot of time chatting with them, consoling them, offering them encouragement, and making their evening memorable.  That’s the exact kind of community business I want to patronize.
