Take Home Christmas Eve and Christmas Dinner Meal Options from Fabulous Woodinville Chefs and Restaurants

Don’t want to cook for Christmas this year? Me neither! Let’s take a look at some of our Woodinville restaurant and catering take-home festive meal options. These local businesses need our support this year and we need their delicious cooking!

Barking Frog at Woodinville’s nicest hotel, Willows Lodge, offers a Holiday Frog Box to-go. Choose between the Holiday Ham Frog Box or the Holiday Seafood Frog Box. (Vegetarian here – I wish they offered a Holiday Tofu/Soybean Frog Box!)

Bistro at Hollywood Schoolhouse has some things you might find festive for your Christmas Eve or Day dinners – short ribs, rib eye, paella, chicken pot pie and their lemon panna cotta dessert.

Chef Anne Marie offers three holiday take-home meal options: a Prime Rib Christmas Dinner you can take home; a Holiday Ham Christmas Dinner, and a Christmas Dinner for One that’s perfect for all those (including me) who are safely celebrating Christmas alone in our homes.

The Cottage in Bothell offers Holiday Dinner Sides (such as roasted brussels sprouts, loaded twice baked sweet potatoes, etc) and a Holiday Take and Bake you pick up on December 24.

The Cut Shop on the Slough doesn’t offer a Christmas menu, but you might be tempted to bring home their Family Style Dinners – perhaps a Family Style Full Rack of Ribs, Family-Style Whole Quartered Chicken, or Family Style Cheese Burgers or Beyond Burgers. Don’t forget to add an order of their famous pimento cheese dip!

The Herbfarm is offering a few festive Dine at Home options, including “Holiday Lamb Dinner for 2” and “Beef Dine At Home Dickens of a Dinner for Two,” “Home for the Holidays Dinner for Two” with shellfish; and I am beyond overjoyed to finally see a vegetarian meal option from The Herbfarm – “Holidays at Home: Vegetarian Menu for Two with Wine.”

You can continue your holiday foodie festivities through the New Year, too, with The Herbfarm’s “Hindsight Dinner for the End of 2020” and/or their “Midnight Toast – Welcome 2021 with Bubbly.”

(We won’t judge you if you just buy their Tower of Pastries and call it good. What happens in Woodinville stays in Woodinville).

Heritage Restaurant + Bar is offering Christmas Eve Dinner to Go and also Christmas Eve Baked Goods to Go; both have limited quantities available. Email elise@heritagewoodinville.com before noon on December 14 for more info or to put your order in.

For a more casual Christmas meal, order take-home comfort food from The Hollywood Tavern. Pickle chips, burgers, fantastic tomato soup, tater tots, fish and chips and other delicious stuff to eat while watching retro Christmas movies and drinking cocktails on your couch.

The PicNic Table Cafe is offering a Christmas Porchetta family meal deal. I am a lifelong vegetarian and have no idea what a porchetta is, but if you’re intrigued, check out their website and social media accounts for details. Or, you can order their special Christmas Day Special Menu ($55 per person; minimum 2 orders) where you choose between Porchetta or Spice-Rubbed Leg of Lamb; then you get Lobster Bisque, sides, salad, and tiramisu.

The Pizza Coop offers a Christmas Prime Rib Dinner For One for takeout. Pre-order by December 22.

Purple Cafe and The Commons offer holiday meals to go via this page. You pre-pay and then pick them up on December 23 or 24, or on December 31.

There’s a Red Wine Braised Short Rib Dinner; a Lemon Pepper Baked Sole Dinner; a Lobster Mac & Cheese Dinner, a Chicken & Wild Rice Pot Pie Dinner, a Lamb Stew Dinner, and for vegetarians such as myself, a Wild Mushroom & Goat Cheese Lasagna Dinner or a Truffle Mac and Cheese. There are lots of delicious traditional holiday sides available as well.

Or, how fun is this? Purple and The Commons offer a Mexican Holiday, with Christmas Enchiladas, Chicken Tingas Tamales, a Taco Kit, Nachos and Vegan Nachos.

Route 522 Taproom offers a Christmas Dinner Special for 2. Choose between Rack of Lamb, Prime Rib, or Wild Caught Sea Bass. Dessert is included – carrot cake!

Russell’s in Bothell doesn’t appear to have a specific holiday or Christmas meal to go option on their website, but they do have several wonderful festive gourmet meal options, including salmon, steaks, pork chops, ducks, scallops, fettucine with prawns, and a hearty cassoulet.

From Vivi Pizzeria, your Christmas dinner could include this Family Dinner for 4, with a choice of Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala, or Chicken Piccata, with spaghetti and a Caesar salad.

Also see this list of holiday take-home meal options from the Woodinville Chamber too!

Happy holidays,

Carrie
